Sadly, on Friday 8th January 2016, former Twinning Chairman, Jack Greenaway, passed away after suffering with dementia. He will be sadly missed by everyone who met or knew him.

We would like to congratulate Philipp Frank on becoming the new Oberbürgermeister of Waldshut.  Philipp Frank, with his wife, Tanja Sadly, due to lack of interest, next Friday's SKITTLES NIGHT has been cancelled.
With so few members booking to come to the event we would have lost money on the evening, not least in paying the caterers. We hope to have another event soon. A good friend of Twinning from Waldshut-Tiengen was over in Lewes for a couple of weeks. Hardy Schoelch is well known to many Lewesians.
Hardy works in the Waldshut Council as and looks after cultural affairs. He was over here to get some experience working in Lewes Town Council and seeing if he could get meetings with local businesses, etc., with a view to offering work experience to young people from the German town. However, he also played a couple of gigs while here. |
