A good friend of Twinning from Waldshut-Tiengen was over in Lewes for a couple of weeks. Hardy Schoelch is well known to many Lewesians.
Hardy works in the Waldshut Council as and looks after cultural affairs. He was over here to get some experience working in Lewes Town Council and seeing if he could get meetings with local businesses, etc., with a view to offering work experience to young people from the German town.
However, he also played a couple of gigs while here.

In his spare time, Hardy plays the saxophone and while here he had two gigs with the Lewes band, The Contenders. One of the band members is Peter Messer (a well known local professional artist).
Last year, The Contenders played a couple of gigs, with Hardy, in Waldshut and Tiengen, so they invited Hardy to join them when they played at The Lamb and the Con Club.

The Sunday afternoon at the Con Club was a free to enter "jamming" session with the band simply enjoying playing together and for an audience that pretty much packed out the Club.
